MY STYLE?!
Real. Romantic. Timeless. These three words sum up my style and approach to wedding photography.
With every image I take, I'm trying to capture the real moments of love you have for one another throughout the day, so that you can be reminded of those feelings throughout the rest of your life together. But along with how the photos look, there is your experience of taking the photos. The compliment I most often receive from clients is that I make them feel comfortable. And I take great pride in that, because when you feel comfortable, I can capture your authentic love just as it is, and that’s what makes your photos timeless.
I do my best to capture real, romantic and timeless images. I promise to keep it light and I focus on the precious candid moments that naturally occur between two people who are madly in love. Years from now, I want you to look at your wedding photographs and be flooded with all the great memories from the day: the bliss, the sentiment, the laughter and love.
I would not be where I am without my amazing clients. Many of the couples I work with end up keeping in touch long after the wedding day and become my close friends, and I am incredibly grateful for that.
A WHO I AM...
It’s nice to meet you! Along with being a wedding and lifestyle photographer, I’m also a wife and a mother. Most days you can find me in sweat pants with messy hair working from bed as my two-year-old daughter and golden doodle run around our cozy apartment. When I’m not working, I love to be outdoors and on little adventures with my family. I love road trips, discovering new places with the music turned WAY up, and singing at the top of my lungs with not a care in the world.
A WHY WE LIVE IN NYC & CALIFORNIA...
Life is too short to not follow your dreams, and Lyle’s dream has always been to be a writer in the film industry. His passion for storytelling is all-comsuming. So when he told me that he wanted to switch from filling out law school applications to making a movie that summer and applying to film schools, all I could do was encourage him to follow his passion. It wasn’t an easy decision, especially considering that I was three-months pregnant at the time, but I believed him. So I wasn’t all that surprised when he was accepted into Columbia University’s graduate film school, though I was a little overwhelmed about moving to New York City. We both grew up in the same small-town in California, but New York had always been a place we had imagined living, though just maybe never with an infant and a 70 lbs. Goldendoodle. But we sold what we couldn’t take with us, bought a tiny apartment in Manhattan, and all moved out to the Big Apple just six months after Nora was born.

Your wedding day. You might have dreamt about it for years now. Or maybe it’s a sudden and excited surprise. But either way, it’s here. I’m sure you feel a bit overwhelmed with all that goes into making your wedding day ideal. I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve planned a wedding (twice actually) and I know now that long after the cake has been cut, your wedding photos will be one of the few things that remain after the special day is done. But your vision for the day and the photos that capture it, don’t come to life on their own. But that’s good news. It means you're not alone in planning and figuring it all out.
