It’s nice to meet you! Along with being a wedding and lifestyle photographer, I’m also a wife and a mother. Most days you can find me in sweat pants with messy hair working from bed as my two-year-old daughter and golden doodle run around our cozy apartment. When I’m not working, I love to be outdoors and on little adventures with my family. We only have one life, I believe in making it count, keeping it real, meeting new people and singing at the top of your lungs with the radio up and the windows down.

03 WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO nyc ?

Life is too short to not follow your dreams, and Lyle’s dream has always been to be a writer in the film industry. His passion for storytelling is all-comsuming. So when he told me that he wanted to switch from filling out law school applications to making a movie that summer and applying to film schools, all I could do was encourage him to follow his passion. It wasn’t an easy decision, especially considering that I was three-months pregnant at the time, but I believed him.

So I wasn’t all that surprised when he was accepted into Columbia University’s graduate film school, though I was a little overwhelmed about moving to New York City. We both grew up in the same small-town in California, but New York had always been a place we had imagined living, though just maybe never with an infant and a 70 lbs. Goldendoodle. But we sold what we couldn’t take with us, bought a tiny apartment in Manhattan, and all moved out to the Big Apple just six months after Nora was born.

KACIE JONES

Kacie, my incredible second shooter, best friend, and Amber Lynn Photography’s associate wedding photographer. When Kacie and I met it was love at first sight. We have photographed dozens of weddings together and I couldn’t be more grateful to have such an amazing and talented partner.

As an associate photographer, Kacie is able to shoot your wedding with grace, style, and FUN in the event that I am already booked. Having Kacie at your wedding will ensure you still have the full Amber Lynn Photography experience as we work with you throughout the entire wedding planning process, checking off our “to do’s,” and dreaming with you about how we can make your day just as amazing as you are.

Not only is Kacie talented and skilled, but her loving spirit and contagious laugh makes her a joy to be around. She’s the ramen to my noodle and I trust her to completely tell your love story in a beautiful and authentic way.

With our associate photography package, all post-production editing and delivery are taken care of by me to ensure that photos will be consistent with ALP style — soft, romantic and timeless. Rest assured you’re in good hands - and we can’t wait for you to meet Kacie!
